Secret Senna arrived!--Mega Update!

[UPDATE]: I got the knife sharpener, sticker book, and DVD before Christmas(see bottom for original post), but a box was waiting for me when I returned from Indy after New Years, and what a welcome home surprise it was. It came in this:

My girls thought surely it’s not really a saw, but I told them you don’t understand these people. It actually could be. It wasn’t. Instead, the box held:

a trailer license plate.

R2 and BB8 mugs with packets of hot chocolate

a wooden Spi rit of St. Louis that I will put together and fly

a clip-on lens for a cell phone

a key chain tool that will come in handy for any number of things

a cool knife

some bolts that I’m guessing are a reference to last summer’s post about the repairs I had to do on my wheelchair castor bolts.

a 25 ft tape measure

two really good chocolate and graham cracker bar thingies (we’ve eaten one and I’ve hidden the rest or my girls would eat it)

a Hot Wheels Enterprise and trick wheel chair that apparently has an action figure I can get to go in it. It does cool wheelies.

a Matchbox C-130 with wheels on the bottom so I can roll it down the runway while I make engine sounds.

And then there was this:

A really neat bag with a metal snowspeeder model in the pocket. But the piece de resistance was this drawing:

It looks like I was so happy with all my presents that I accidently cut my wrists while trying to sharpen my new knife with my new knife sharpener!

Bravo, Secret Senna. I am indeed trembling with joy!

Actually, he arrived last week, but I’m posting about it now.

The knife sharpener is probably appropriate given that I’ve been killing off one of you each day this month. It’s also useful, and I’ve been meaning to get one for a long time. Perfect gift.

The stickers are awesome, and I can’t decide whether to use them or keep them pristine in their book. They remind me of my childhood.

The dvd came later, and I’m ashamed to say it took me a minute to get it.:

Me: Ben Hur, wow. This is a classic. You know, I don’t know if I’ve ever seen the entire thing through. The chariot race is an iconic film moment.

Wife: oh!

Me: OH!

So , whoever you are, we’ll done. Very well done indeed. Merry Christmas!

Lol that’s good I was looking at the picture thinking. Why Ben-hur? I haven’t seen Ben-Hur yet. I prob should since it’s a classic .

Good deal, I’m glad you like  it all. A few explainers.

The book and sharpener I wanted To get out fast and something that would be like a WTF initiation to the Secret Senna, and sort of dissapoint you in the lackluster gifts. Then the DVD came to me while thinking of another gag type gift, which actually turned out well. (My wife hasn’t seen Ben Hur so when you’re done with it please return so we can watch it.... j/k)

Then the things below I packed up and was working at a post office and since it was before Christmas lines were always jammed, and after work out of town = beer time. Plus I added a few things after Christmas so I repacked twice.

The bag comes with the saw, I have 8+ probably around my garage with tools and ect. So I decided this would be a good start, and when I got a new saw sent on a job it started coming together..... Dem nuts...

Bag:free

Mugs: regift/ free, I have enough mugs really

Grahm cookie thing: regift/ free. so my wife and son are gluten free it’s better I can get rid of some before I eat it all.

Knife: re gift / free Gift from my Union Hall. I’ve had it in my drawer for a while 1-2 years , and tried to get rid of it last year at the family white elephant exchange, got it back.

Hotwheels: bought the wheelchair, it should fit a lego mini figure hand on the rails, the enterprise I had bought and stored with all my other cars years ago

Spirit Of St. Louis: so this will be the primer to the snowspeeder, I figure you can practice a build with something easy, I doubt it’ll fly...

Snowspeeder: good luck, that is the FU piece of the lot. I hope you can get it together without destroying it, not sure if I could. The hobby shop sells small pliers set to put these together. The snowspeeder is my favorite of the star wars ships, it Just looks badass.

License plate:free came off a semi trailer at work when they gotta new plates. Seemed like a neat deco piece.

Clip thing was an impulse Black Friday purchase. Seemed cool. Way over packaged which may be reusable.

THe phone lense came with a bottle of Jagermiester, which we drank.

Tape measure is a free coupon item from harbor freight. Can never have too many disposable tape measures.

The C-130 came in a lot I bought from LALD a while ago, since my kids wouldn’t likely destroy the propellers I figured you “may” take better care of it. My son loves the other planes I’ve gotten him from this lot. A few airliners and jets.

And the art: you kill me, I kill you. lol

So I was supposed to be disappointed by the first round of gifts? Oops.

That is some master level regifting! My girls were looking at this pile of stuff and trying to think of a unifying theme. They were following the alphabet saga, and at first my wife thought maybe they tied in with the way different people died, but it didn’t fit.

I totally forgot about your Bosch box post with the bolts and nuts. My daughter pointed out that the plate was for a trailer and suggested it was meant for me to wear on my back (cheeky kids). Anyway, I love all this stuff.
